Klub Mukupa

Så blev det torsdag, og torsdag er dagen, hvor der her i klubben lytter til en plade fra samlingen, og hvor der bliver spillet en masse jazzklassikere og standarter. Der er blevet fundet en vinder på klub rekorden, og buddet kommer hele vejen fra Vestjylland, med musik fra et dansk 80’er jazz band. Dagens Thank god it’s fyraften er et stykke med reggae, og så har Mukupa en plade med fra sin samling, som vi hører et nummer. Et nummer med en engelsk acid jazz artist.

På hovedet i et album: Jerry Goldsmith med Chinatown

Det var slet ikke meningen, at det var Jerry Goldsmith, der skulle lave musikken til Roman Polanskis Chinatown. Der var allerede en komponist tilknyttet til projektet - men Hollywood er Hollywood, og den ene dag er man inde, den næste er man ude. Men filmen var nærmest færdig, så det skulle musikken også være, og det kunne derfor kun gå for langsomt. Men Jerry Goldsmith tryllede og brugte al sin erfaring og kreativitet, og på kun 10 dage formåede han at lave et ikonisk og klassisk filmsoundtrack. Vært: Ida Rud. Redaktør: Kasper Christensen. I skyggen af…: Med Marie Mørck og albummet “Pop Pop” af Rickie Lee Jones

Rickie Lee Jones griber på albummet “Pop Pop” ud efter den amerikanske sangskat. Det er et album, som jazzsanger Marie Mørck hev med ind og dyrkede på teenageværelset, men det er dertil et, der var en del af hendes allertidligste lydtapet. Da “Pop Pop” udkom, klarede det sig kommercielt mest dårligt af Rickie Lee Jones værker på daværende tidspunkt. Vært og tilrettelægger: Ida Rud. Gæst: Marie Mørck. Redaktør: Kasper Christensen.
